REAL DEAL. Dr. Piazza operated one of the country’s most successful chiropractic practices from 1987 to 1997. In 1988 a random drive-by shooting in his neighborhood caused him to seek firearms training. From 1989 to 1993, Dr. Piazza attended all of the noteworthy firearms training schools around the country and trained with the recognized firearms training experts of that era, securing their highest level certifications. Dr. Piazza personally spent over $50,000 in firearms training courses and certification. In April 1996, Dr. Piazza started Front Sight Firearms Training Institute with 10 students in Front Sight’s first defensive handgun course on leased facilities in Bakersfield, California.

REAL DEAL. Dr. Ignatius Piazza and Front Sight Firearms Training Institute purchased 550 acres of raw land 45 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip in 1997. The land originally had no roads, no water and no power. Dr. Piazza and Front Sight began construction of a world class firearms training facility on the property in 1998 and continues to build and expand the firearms training facility each year as the Front Sight organization grows. Today, the Front Sight Firearms Training Institute has a four mile, two lane, paved road to the front gate, 24 firing ranges, 8,300 square foot classroom, pro shop, accessory buildings, live fire training simulators and trains over 30,000 students per year.

From 1997 through 1999 Dr. Piazza and Front Sight Firearms Training Institute provided a free, one day Uzi Submachine Gun Course where Front Sight provided the training, the use of the submachine gun, all the ammo, and breakfast & lunch — all free of charge. This was done to give students an understanding of the quality of Front Sight’s training. Front Sight purchased 250 fully transferable Uzi submachine guns to legally comply with all Federal Firearms Laws so private citizens could experience training in the use of submachine guns. All ammo purchased for the courses was factory-new 9mm ammo. Dr. Ignatius Piazza and Front Sight provided the courses with no hidden costs or surprise catches or clauses. Over 20,000 people attended the free, one day Uzi Submachine Gun courses. As a result of the quality of the training and professionalism of the Front Sight organization, most of the students who attended the free, one day courses have returned to Front Sight and paid to attend more Front Sight Firearms Training Institute courses.
